From the remarkably creative Mark Burrows comes another wonderful collection of songs with a hook. This time, it's fun and often funny songs about famous artists and their work. From the Bo Diddley-esque title song to the boogie-woogie stylings of "What They Learned in School," these songs will become fast favorites. In addition to reproducible biographies of all the featured artists, each song has at least two correlating activities: one offering students an opportunity to create original works of art based on the techniques of the great artists, and one music, drama or movement activity designed to strengthen the connection between the performing and visual arts. All require very little setup and are designed for the non-art teacher. Suggestions for building a "Gallery Night" performance are also included, as are reproducible vocal parts and a Performance/Accompaniment CD.
