Open your concert with this stately fanfare. Percussion abounds and is written very effectively in call and response with the winds (includes an "advanced" Percussion 1 part). Contemporary harmonies and the use of accidentals make this piece sound more advanced even though the score is doubled very well. Rhythms are half and quarter notes with occasional eighths in the winds. (2:40)
