This talented musician uses the American folk melody Land Of Rest and the tune I Love Thee to create this fine setting useful in most performance situations. The work opens with a very legato texture and moves to as lightly faster pace with a more rhythmic treatment of the hymn tune using mallets (handbells on the table) or Pl and the echo. The use of optional handchimes enhances melodic lines helping to make this interesting to both the listener and the ringer. Full chords with the opening melody bring the work to a satisfying conclusion.
