This energetic new work is a musical depiction of the Seacoast Century, a 100 mile bike race along the New England coast. A programmatic work, descriptors a re included for each part of the piece to engage students' imagination and dev elop musicality. This is a great work to teach string crossings, legato and st accato bowing, dynamic contrasts, bow placement, lifts and retakes, double sto ps, divisi, balance and blend.
