This beautiful setting of two Irish folk tunes (Danny Boy and The Wearin' of the Green) is dedicated to the memory of Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street journalist who was kidnapped and killed in 2002 and also a friend of Mr. O'Reilly's daughter. A beautifully harmonized rendition of Danny Boy opens the work followed by the light, dance-like The Wearin' of the Green with the characteristic dotted 8th/16th note pattern setting the style. A wonderful piece to teach style and honor an American hero.
