"Father, let this cup pass from me." As the Savior uttered these poignant words in the Garden of Gethsemane, what did He see in that cup that caused Himsuch anguish? In the haunting combination of Jan McGuire's words and Lloyd Larson's melody, I hear that the cup not only held the sins of the world, it also held my own. The impact of this selection is made even more complete by ending with a quotation from "Lead Me to Calvary" in which we pledge to bear our cross daily, "even the cup of grief".
