Many families celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah - now you can too, with the same piece of music. Two traditional seasonal songs, Christmas is Coming, the Goose is Getting Fat and The Dreidel Song are combined. Discuss with your students some of the compositional techniques (imitation, augmentation) or tonalites that are used to fit these two tunes together. Even with all the opportunities for "teachable moments," it's still fun to play, and that was its original purpose. Happy holidays!
