Title: As All The Heavens Were A Bell
Voicing/Format: Concert Band
Publisher: Hal Leonard Publishing Corp
Composer: Bocook, Jay
Catalog #: 04002045
Commissioned as a tribute to the Fire Department of New York City, this immensely moving work was premiered at an emotional performance in Manhattan this past March. Using a sensitive treatment of the melody from America (My Country, 'Tis of Thee) it includes haunting vocal colors, cued in horns. The nation in turmoil is depicted in an intensely driving and powerful section which evolves marvelously into a full-blown treatment of America with chorus and band. A truly magnificent musical tribute to the heroes of 9/11. 40 chorus parts are included in the arrangement.
