You have to read the "Composer's Note" on the inside of the front cover to completely understand John Ness Beck's setting of "Crown Him with Many Crowns." What a perfect example of how far ahead of his time he was in harmony, composition and spiritual commentary. This is not an easy anthem, andcertainly not for small choirs. To enjoy the full effect you must perform it with organ, brass quintet and timpani.
